EGO Power+ 21" Self-Propelled Lawn Mower review
My verdict
“After using this lawnmower for the past 6 months, it definitely performs better than my gas mower that I got rid of.”
What I liked
- “The standout feature is how easily this lawnmower folds up into such a tight space.” 0:33
- “It really utilizes the entire bag. So, it won't clog up until this bag is completely full.” 3:13
- “This one-touch to adjust the height of the deck… with this one handle, you can adjust the entire deck.” 1:04
- “You can use the self-propelled without ever having the mower on.” 1:04
- “Really very impressed with the build quality of this thing considering that it's all just very sturdy plastic.” 1:30
- “The bag has held up extremely well… no tears or rips or anything in the fabric.” 5:16
What I didn't like
- “The only issue that I've had with this lawnmower… is this self-propelled motor. It actually quit working on me when I had a full bag of grass.” 5:16
- “They told me that I had to take it to Home Depot and that Home Depot would fix it in six to eight weeks.” 6:01
- “I sent multiple emails and didn't receive any response and I had to call them just to get a response.” 6:01
- “We got some surface rust… this mechanism down here is the drive shaft for the self-propelled motor.” 3:45
- “The battery compartment… seems kind of flimsy to me.” 1:38
Worth knowing
- After four years
- “Overall this mower operates the exact same as the day I pulled it out of the box.” 1:37
- Battery after four years
- “I could actually cut the grass two to three times depending on how long the grass was before I had to recharge the battery. That is the same.” 5:22
- Battery door
- “This battery cover… is really pretty cheap flimsy plastic… I've seen it get a little bit loose here at the top over the last four years.” 6:07
- Handle clips
- “When you're operating a lawnmower and moving and pushing the lawnmower it actually will move a little bit, so this isn't as sturdy as I would have liked.” 8:23
- What I'd change
- “I really hope that EGO updates their newer mowers and puts this turbo button similar to what their blower has.” 3:07
