Pros and cons (from the specs)
Pros
- 720Wh battery, big for a folder
- Torque sensor
- Hydraulic brakes with thick rotors
- Hydraulic fork
- Turn signals
- Folding pedals
Cons
- 72.5 lb
- Rider height tops out at 5’10”
- 225 lb max rider
- Class 1 or 2 only (20 mph)
- Dim headlight (about 50 lumens)
What the specs mean on the road
750W, 64 Nm. Less torque than the Radsters’ 100 Nm. Fine for city hills; slower on steep ones.
720Wh, 20-60 miles. Plenty for errands for days. Fat tires and throttle pull it toward 20.
20 x 4.0 in tires. Fat tires cushion bumps and handle sand or gravel. Small wheels help it fold.
50mm fork. Short travel takes the sting out of curbs and cracks.
Folded 29 x 25 x 41 in. Rad says it fits apartments, RVs or a car trunk. Check your trunk against those numbers.
72.5 lb. Remove the battery (62.5 lb) before lifting.
About 50 lumen headlight. That’s a be-seen light. Add a brighter light for dark roads.
How it compares to bikes I’ve reviewed
- Aventon Sinch: a folding fat tire bike I tested that fit my Model 3 trunk.
- Kingbull Literider: a folding fat tire step-through I tested.
- Lectric XP4: a lighter, cheaper folder with a smaller battery, profiled from specs.
Who it’s for
- Riders 4’10” to 5’10”
- Apartment and RV owners
- Riders who want a big battery in a folder
Who should look elsewhere
- Taller or heavier riders
- Anyone who wants 28 mph
